The Integration Of Ideology And The Development Of Harmonious Society

It is an important strategic measure for our Party to build a harmonious socialist society, proposed by the Fourth Plenary Session of the Sixteenth Central Committee of the Party, in order to go along with the historical tide, focus on the change of the history, and advance the socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new age and stage. It reflects the people's ever-growing material and cultural needs and the fundamental interests and common aspiration, as well as explicit the historic mission of our Party. It is an important theoretical innovation for our Party to advance the noble cause in new period. To build a harmonious socialist society depends on not only the development of the economy and the flourish of politics, but also the harmonious ideas of the different mass groups. Ideology, the soul of the nation, leads the feelings, thoughts and behaviors of all members of society. The China's socialist ideology guided by Marxism-Leninism, Mao Zedong Thought, Deng Xiaoping Theory and the important thinking of "The Three Represents", is the predominant ideology in China. Currently, the thoughts or actions of all members in the society,showing the characteristics of independence, selectivity, variability and diversity, and the social consciousness and values, showing the characteristics of diversity, make our country's realm of ideology and trends of social thought complicated. Meanwhile, there are ideologies, such as ideologies corresponding with the mainstream as well as non-mainstream and anti-mainstream ideologies, inevitably influence the development of the mainstream ideology. The historical materialism believes the social being determines the consciousness and the consciousness greatly reacts the social being. There must be the mainstream ideology to direct the social practice and guarantee the nature and the direction of a society in order to make a country stable and prosperity. Therefore, we must integrate the diversified ideology of the social group to sure the leading role of the China's socialist ideology and successfully build harmonious socialist society.Currently, the study of the integration of ideology and the development of harmonious society is necessary to the theory of the development of ideology in new age and new historic development as well as the foundation of harmonious society. In the past, for a long period of time, our theory of ideology served for revolutionary and war. So, many research results at home and abroad were about the nature of class and belligerence. Now, since peace and development are the themes of the present era, our goal of dream is to build harmonious society. The new goal of building a harmonious socialist society in special historical conditions necessarily endows the new task to integrate society by means of China's socialist ideology. Although our theory of ideology serving for revolutionary and war is still worth China learning in today's practice, since harmonious socialist society has been different from the traditional political society and the way to the integration of ideology is also different from the old way to the integration of ideology, which does not adjust to the need of today's practice. Therefore, this paper from the point of the integration of society systematically studies the foundation of the ideology of harmonious socialist society. On the basis of learning the excellent achievements of past generations, it probes further into the thought and strategy of the integration of ideology in the process of building a harmonious socialist society. This paper consists of 5 Chapter; The first chapter describes the aim and meaning of this paper as well as the brief introduction and analysis of the eastern and western theory of ideology; The second chapter introduces and analyses the meaning, characteristic and function of ideology and the integration of ideology; The third chapter analyses the outlook of the realm of ideology in our China and the necessity of intensify the integration of ideology; The fourth chapter concludes the lessons of the integration of ideology in Former Soviet Union and during the 60 years of the founding of China in detail; The fifth chapter illustrates how to intensify the thought and strategy of the integration of ideology in detail.
