究 Study On Blair's Social Welfare Reform

Social welfare problem is a focus which any contemporary government will inevitably encounter in the modernization process. China has made a great achievement in economic field since 2001. But with the development of socialist market economy, a number of problems such as pension insurance, medical insurance, unemployment insurance, industrial injury insurance, maternity insurance, subsistence allowance and a series of social security issues have arisen. These problems have made our economy to a "bottleneck" state. So social security system has been the social focus as the result of these problems. The United Kingdom, as the source of welfare state, established the first welfare state in the world since World War II, which give a great influence to the world, particularly in the Blair administration, the social welfare system reform ideas he implemented has played an inestimable role to avoid the welfare state risk. So learning its successful reform experiences will generate theoretical and practical significance in solving our country's social conflicts and building a socialist harmonious society.Based on the research of social Tony Blair government welfare system, we can firstly conclude, the social welfare system reform is under the oppression of internal and external reasons, including the globalization of production factors caused by the globalization, international political upheavals, the world population continues to spread, and because of the imbalance between social fairness and efficiency of economy and the moral risk caused by domestic social welfare system defect, these reflect the necessity of the reform which implemented by Blair government. Secondly, in order to evade the defect and risk from global political, economic, and social welfare system itself, Tony Blair government founded"the third road theory"as the guide of social welfare reform, according to democratic socialism ,the new conservative ideology, the new liberalism and Tony Blair ideology. Thirdly, the Blair government reformed domestic pension system, unemployment, medical system and the system of education, and then made great achievements, the reform also alleviate the pressure from the global and domestic, and inject vigor into the construction of world social welfare system. Finally, the thesis gives some new proposals to construct our social security. system according to the analysis of Blair government social welfare reforms.
