Proposals about the male and female retirement age have been raised for almost ten years. Recent years, people set up the wave of the debates about the male and female retirement age again. Though presently, there are still a considerable number of people supporting that women and men should retire in different age. With the development of economic and social and the quality of women improving, the legal provision that women and men should retire in different age has departed from the original intention to protect women. The legal provision actually stripped the equal job opportunities of women, affected the realization of women's labor rights and political rights, lead to the inequality of women in economic, cultural, and social areas. Finally resulted in the discrimination against women groups. This proposition is not only a lack of basis, but also a violation of equality, justice and other basic legal concepts. The legal provision also further exacerbated the disadvantaged position of women. Therefore, eliminating the sense of gender discrimination caused by the historical, cultural and other factors, realizing the equality between women and men in retirement age, has become a practical problem before us. Only in this way, the potential of women can be inspired, sex discrimination can be eliminated fundamentally.
