The Analysis Of Construction Of Students Theoretical Associations In Colleges And Universities

Since the implementation of China's reform and opening-up policy, the socialist market economy system has been gradually perfected and the administrative system reform of higher education has been continuously deepening, which challenge the undergraduate ideological and political education with many new tasks. It is in this overall situation that the students associations of political theory in colleges and universities emerge. As a significant battlefield for the undergraduate ideological and political education, these associations are playing an increasingly important role in undergraduate work structure, whose construction and development receives much concern from leaders of different levels and becomes a more and more important force supporting undergraduate theory study and ideological construction. However, with more or less problems, substantial results of the construction of these associations are not palpable enough and levels of it is uneven, for its developing process has just begun and experiences to refer to are scarce. Therefore, the explorations into constructions of ideological and political education do possess certain realistic meanings.This dissertation begins with the concept of students communities and associations of political theory, analyzing their definitions and characteristics and summarizing the distinctive features. On the basis of initial perspective on these associations, this thesis explores the motivation for Changshu Institute of Technology to construct these students associations from both macroscopical and microcosmic angles of view. That is to say, it clarifies the necessity of constructing these associations in our college from the perspective of macro factors——the history of this kind of associations; the requests for ideological and political education by our country and Communist party; the promotions of higher education, especially the ideological and political education by these associations, and micro factors --- the demands on undergraduates'self-growth and on these associations'constructions by our CIT itself. Afterwards, this paper introduces the current situation of three students associations of political theory in our college and their achievements so far, as well as their positive influence on activating campus culture, guiding undergraduates'thoughts and etc. it also analyzes the problems existing in constructions in aspects of administration, members'inner quality, organizing activities, effectiveness and etc. In addition, proceeding from the reality in our college, it talks about the main tactics to improve these associations: positioning themselves clearly; perfecting the systematic construction; innovating activity mechanism; strengthening their positions; bettering communications between our college and the outside society and etc.This thesis is mainly a case study pointing at the students associations of political theory at Changshu Institute of Technology, an undergraduate academy. It will be appreciated if it does have some directive significance and expand the considerations for constructing these associations.
