The process of talents cultivation is a long-term complex systematic project, and to cultivate college students to become high-qualified talents with integrated abilities, you must have high-qualified teaching staff. Teachers, as the carrier of educational conception, practitioner and organizer of the education, play a fundamental role in education. With quality structure of physical education teachers in universities in Shandong Province as the research object, using literature data method, questionnaire and mathematical statistics research methods, the thesis systematically studies the actual status of the quality structure of the physical education teachers in universities in Shandong Province, and puts forward a series of strategies of optimization for PE teachers quality structure. This paper is of great theoretic value and practical significance in understanding quality structure status of PE teachers in universities, fully implementing the nurturing of a new generation of high qualified PE teachers, and deepening PE teaching reform. Based on the research, conclusions are drawn as follows:1. Among all the qualities, the ideological and moral qualities are considered as the most important ones. Since they long for not only knowledge, but also equality in the ideological and moral education, students think that respecting students is the most important. While teachers, based on the consideration of being loyal to the education career of motherland, think loving our motherland is of the first place.2. In the knowledge structure, except for sports training study, sports injury study, sports physiology, sports psychology and the sports.health care that both teachers and students consider as quality structure, teacher's teaching method is also very important in students'minds, because the appropriate teaching method not only helps teachers teach but also helps the students learn more.3. In terms of the physical and moral qualities, teachers and students share the same opinion in having a healthy body, thinking that you can not work well without good health, but they hold different opinions in the spirit of creativity in that they carry different tasks, face different problems and have different experiences.4. Although some non-intelligent quality factors are not important, as a whole, non-intellective factors play a certain role in the teachers' structure.5. In terms of the whole quality structure, students and teachers hold rather different views. Students think the physical and psychological quality is more important than professional ability and cultural knowledge, while teachers take the opposite opinion.
