As the reflection and improvement of the episte mology and methodology on the teacher professional study, more and more researchers analyze the question of teacher development from the view point of identity. Teacher professional identity is an individual or colony's sense, understanding and idea of how they consider themselves which is built in the process of the practice gradually, and the cognition, thinking and perspective of "who am I", "how can I do"and "why should I do" from the view of teachers. It's the core of teachers'developing awareness of teaching situation, forming sense of teaching and taking actions. As one new teacher takes his post, he always meets a lot of difficulties and crises in reality. However, the stage as a new teacher is a critical period of the formation of teacher professional identity, and it has an important effect on the teacher's professional growth and tendency.Based on clarify the theoretical problems of teacher professional identity, the characteristics of new teachers and the important value of life history to the construction of teacher professional identity and professional development are analyzed. This thesis uses narrative life history research method, invites two new teachers as cases, analyzes the meaning of teacher professional identity through the story that case narrated and then reveals the development process and influencing factors. In this thesis, research founds that the life stories of teachers are full of much identity, and things influencing the formation are multiple different, including internal and external factors. Then the thesis puts forward suggestions to promote the new teacher professional identity from the perspectives of teachers, school instructions, teacher educators and national and status.
