On August 24, 2008 the 29th Olympic Games completely dropped the curtain in Beijing, China, in which men's basketball game adequately reflect the current status of world basketball. This paper will look small forward of Chinese Men's basketball team and opponents as the study team at the 29th Olympic Games and look their offensive capabilities of technical statistical index as comparative data, in order to summarize gaps and weaknesses among them through comparison and analysis. In this paper, applying for the literature and data method, video observation and analysis method, interviews method, expert survey method, mathematical statistics method and logical analysis method, to compare and analyze offensive Capabilities of small forwards among Chinese men's basketball and the opponents. The results showed that:(1) There are no differences in the indicators of height, weight and age among the small forwards of Chinese men's basketball and their opponents.(2) There are the significant differences in the numbers of the two-point's shot and scores among the small forwards of Chinese men's basketball and their opponents; the ways of breakthrough and dunk shooting are clearly less than their opponents; there are the significant differences in the shot's numbers and scores at the central and near area; the shot's numbers and the hit's rate are significantly lower than their opponents in the strong confrontation cases.(3) There is a significant difference in the frequency of cover and responding among the small forwards of Chinese men's basketball and their opponents, there are very significant differences in the frequency of breakthroughs and distributions; the numbers of breakthroughs and scores in the personal mobile offensive are significantly lower than their opponents; the number of the second attack and scores are lower than their opponents; the numbers of involved in fast attack are fewer than their opponents, there are no scores in the fast attack.(4) There is significant difference in the ability that small forwards make fouls among Chinese men's basketball and their opponents.(5) The numbers of small forward stolen of China men's basketball in the strong interference are significantly more than their opponents; there are no differences in the numbers of assists.(6) There are significant differences in the small forwards'rebounds among Chinese men's basketball and their opponents; there are significant differences in the backward market rebounds.(7) There are significant differences in the small forwards'turnovers among Chinese men's basketball and their opponents; the turnovers of attacking full-court are more than their opponents; the turnovers of passing and catching balls are their mainly types of turnovers.The suggestion:(1) Enhancing physical training of Chinese men's small forwards.(2) Enhancing the training of the shot ability of Chinese men's small forwards in the high-strength and strong confrontation cases.(3) Enhancing the training of the fast-attacking ability and awareness of Chinese men's small forwards.(4) Enhancing the training of the tactical coordination among Chinese men's small forwards and others.(5) Enriching the experience that the Chinese men's small forwards take part in the games.
