Research On The Current Situation And Suatainable Development Of Baskteball In "basketball City" Of Liaoning Pronince

In order to thoroughly implement the National Physical Fitness Program and promote the general development of competitive sports, the Notice about Creating Basketball Cities and Villages was enacted by the General Administration of Sport of China in July, 1999. The basketball would be encouraged by selecting "Basketball City", so as to meet the needs of the competitive sports reformation and lay a foundation of sustainable development for our country. It could promote the material and spiritual civilization development, and it was also the needs of constructing the cultural taste of city and a "harmonious society". Therefore, the General Administration of Sport selected 15 cities as "Basketball City" in 1999 and 2003, Dandong and Fuxin were the two cities which was selected as "Basketball City".After reviewing the relative literature, it is found that there were plenty of research about the "Basketball City", but the "Basketball City" in Liaoning Province has never been researched on. by reviewing relative literature, investigation, mathematical statistics and logic analysis, this thesis studies the historical and cultural background of basketball, current basketball sports management, the community and masses schools'basketball status, the current campus basketball developing status and competitive basketball back-up personnel training competitive situation of the "Basketball City" in Liaoning province. The thesis also gives some suggestions about sustainable development in the future on this foundation in the end.The results show that the "Basketball Cities" of Liaoning Province have profound cultural background and solid masses base, and have transported a lot of competitive basketball talents for national and provincial professional teams and universities. However, there are also some problems in basketball universalization and performance of "Basketball City" in Liaoning Province. For example, the emphasis of leaders at all levels is lack of continuity. The organization and coordination ability and hosting major events ability of the Basketball Association should be strengthened; in the aspect of training basketball candidates, study of knowledge and cultivlation of ideological should also be strengthened; in the aspect of basketball in campus, the form and content of all kinds of basketball organizations are homogeneous in schools; in the aspect of mass popularity of basketball, the development of community basketball activities and participation degree of resident should be improved, the development of basketball industrial is not satisfactory and the city stadium facilities need to be improved.In response to these problems, this author puts forward the following sustainable development recommendations: First, to further improve the implementation of relevant basketball policies in the two cities, and to strengthen comprehension of leadership about basketball culture, basketball industry and the future development of basketball, establishing basketball-related files system, so that to inherit and develop this sport.Second, to strengthen the attention of leadership in government and enterprises, Basketball Association should give full play to their organization and coordination functions, and pay more attention to basketball training and popularization, improve the ability of hosting major events and enhance the task of training basketball instructors and referee.Third, in the aspect of cultivation of competitive basketball talents, we should strengthen ideological and moral quality of the athletes and the capacity of scientific selection, increasing foreign exchanges and hire high-level coaches to make guidance.Fourth, the campus basketball activities should be developed much further and sustaining. To strengthen the teaching and practice of basketball basic skills and the participation and enthusiasm of women through class education and playing basketball. We should lead students to form a lifelong sports consciousness and habits.Fifth, improve the participation ability of residents, increase the investment and construction of community basketball court and equipment, attract different ages and genders of people to join in this sport through carrying out various forms of community basketball activities, and enhance the publicity of media, so that to attract more basketball fans and corporate to sponsor.Sixth, to improve the urban basketball venues, facilities, and establish reasonable opening time of venues, further intensify the development of basketball industry, develop basketball industry actively, increase the special fund and multi-channel input, persist in the market operation of basketball, and improve the development of basketball industry chain.
