It is because the stress is laid on the creativity of the students that the achievement of the primary and middle school education in America can attract worldwide attention in the inquiry into the reform of education, which helps them form the teaching patterns with their own figures. It is in this special environment that students in America are studying happily and relaxedly. It is in this environment that they are developing themselves proportionally and healthfully. And it is in this environment that the students have learned a series of admirable quality and ability that suit with the development of the new century. However, in our country, we have made great progress in the current transformation of education, but in fact we still haven't freed our education patterns from being restrained as we are still following the traditional sense of education. What prevents our education cause from developing healthfully lies in the educational disadvantage which doesn抰 lay stress on the education effect but on the form. In this article, the currents of education between China and the U.S. have been studied through the comparison of the following aspects such as creative education, forming education, and teaching materials ,curriculum, class scales, teachers and so on. In the comparison we can find out three disadvantages in our present basic education: First, the original education is merely nominal. Teachers are still the master in class, and teaching knowledge is still what they are eager to do. In such dull classroom and under the burden of homework being driven by traditional thought of pursuing material gain, the students are gradually losing their ability of handling because of memorizing mechanically, and lack imaginative power just because of following rules. Being in such surroundings for a long time the students have lost their original flexibility, initiative, independence studying on their own and gumption, and their master idea and creativity are dying; Second, forming education has its limitation. Schools only emphasize the proportion of students entering higher schools, and parents hope their children will have bright future, but both of them neglect an important rule that the purpose of education is to make the students self-reliance and self-support. This has led to the results such as weak consciousness of practice and self-support, the disconnection of theory with practice, and moral knowledge with behavior. So the students become selfish, lazy, life-dull, high score but low-power, and don't have the advantage to live and compete in the new situation, All the failures are just because of the forming education. Finally, there is not enough power to reform the teaching materials, class scales and the construction of the teachers, The textbooks and curriculum are too difficult, too much, too profound and unpopular, which prevent the students from developing their every quality harmoniously. The super-classes are still holding back the teachers in teaching according to students ability and understanding with students. The lower records of formal schooling of the whole teachers, the weak consciousness of gaining further studies, the uncomplete evaluation system and unreasonable treatment to the teachers, are still block for the development of education in China.
