Thinking is the most important and complicated problem in psychology . It's also a problem which continually attracts people's attention and causes them to study up. Many educational psychologists have done a lot of research work on thinking since the 1900s. As a result ,the fruitful achievements they have got play an important role in education and teaching.Studying the students' thinking features during the course of mathematics learning plays an instructive part in teaching practice. The research regards teachers college students as the subjects of studying and makes the most use of the mathematical activities to do the factual evidence research by using qualitative research method. The research is aimed at revealing thinking features of the teachers college students in order to instruct teaching practical activities by describing and explaining the experimental materials that have been collected .At the beginning of the research, the students were examined about their interest in studying mathematics and their attitude to mathematics by the form of questionaire. At the same time, the author analyzed different thinking types of the students according to the questionaires. The subjects of study failed into three groups the capable, the average and the incapable-according to their mathematical ability by referring to the study on mathematical ability structure of elementary school students done by B.A.KpyTeqKHa in former soviet. In addition, the author has compiled data into a system of experimental questions on studying thinking features of teachers college students . This system belongs to studying examination rather than diagnostic examination. It provides powerful help for studying the students thinking features .The author also lay a firm foundation for the research by establishing individualstudying on seven students during the research. According to the materials collected from experimental research, some analysis and explanations are carried on to the thinking features of the students.In conclusion of the research, a summary about the students thinking features on the mathematics is got. It includes mainly:(l)intentions of thinking;(2)generality of thinking;(3)constructive conception of thinking ;(4)recollections of thinking;(5)self-diagnosis of thinking;(6)restraint of thinking;(7)flexibility of thinking;(8)simplification and abridgement of thinking.It indicates the shortcomings existing in the research and the future studying directions as well.
