A Dicussion On The Sustainable Development Of The Mordern Distance Education

Based on the platform of the modern information technology, modern distance education is a completely new education form. For the last 100 years, it reached the highest stage in the development of the world distance education. It's a new viewpoint to relate modern distance education with sustainable development. This viewpoint is the result of the sustainable development theory growing into a multilevel, dynamic and academic category which leap over several subjects. Today, the ideas about the sustainable development have been the macroscopic thoughts that involve various social stratums. Furthermore, it is also the reguirement of modern distance education during its developing period. It won't run smoothly at first and will encounter the shocks of all kinds of traditional thoughts and opinions. Therefore, it is very important to make the modern distance education grow healthily and sustainably. Relying on the theory of sustainable development ideas & the concepts of modern higher education, this article focuses on some problems that emerge from the sustainable development process of modern distance education, and suggests some solutions to them as well.
