"Teacher is the core of education reform". With the coming of 21st century, our country, as well as the others, has realized that the improvement of the qualification of teachers is the decisive factor in education reform ,so is the qualification of the P.E teachers .One of the common issues in the world education reform is to improve the comprehensive qualification of the RE teachers which is fundamental for the improvement of physical education and the cultivation of qualified personnel for the society .One of the important links in improving the qualification of P.E teachers, especially in improving the quality of continuing education for the primary and middle school P.E teachers is to consummate the curriculum of continuing education. The continuing education of P.E teachers targets at the teachers at post and takes the training of professional personal as its responsibility. Curriculum reform is a long -term systematic project. Although different areas take different strategies in different time. Hubei province is a developed province ,whose education is high and whose continuing education of P.E teachers has its own character. The dissertation analyses the curriculum reference of Hubei province .the curriculum reform must base on the reality, abide by the law of curriculum, meet the need of the society and refer to the experience of the developed countries.This dissertation is composed of the introduction and the body, which is subdivided into 3 sections. The first section tries to provide a clear definition for the continuing education of the P.E teachers .the following 2 sections put forth primary education physical and health education reform and development in and abroad, which give the enlightenment to the curriculum reform of continuing education ofRE teachers the correspondent countermove of reform based on the analysis and expounding of the current situation of curriculum reform and the problem arising from it, in the primary and middle school RE teachers continuing education in Hubei Province .The dissertation begins with the definition of continuing education and the continuing education of .E teachers from the macroscopic perspective .Based on the assumption that the continuing education of RE teachers refers to the continuing education of those RE teachers in the primary and middle school .it should be defined as the training of the RE teachers who have the correspondent education background required by the state and who have got the certificate for teaching in the way of improving their political ideological level and teaching ability .The target of the training include both the RE teachers who have received higher physical education and those who have received secondary education but have got the required education level .It both covers the teachers who first step on the teaching post and those backbones and those with different professional titles .The contents of the training include the training of the knowledge innovation and teaching ability improvement ,the training of grasp of the modern physical education technology Reaching method academic research ability and the knowledge of the new theories ,skills, techniques and achievements. The training types include the training of the new teachers before they step on the teaching post, the training of the teachers at post and the training of those teachers to achieve higher education level .The clarification of the definition of RE teachers continuing education is the foundation of curriculum reform.Next, the dissertation gives a thorough analysis of the basic ideal of curriculumreform and development of physical and health in and abroad ,including the enlightenment to our own curriculum reform of P.E teachers continuing education.
