Research And Thinking On Constructing Campus Network In Primary And Middle Schools

The modern information technology has created a brand-new environment for educational reform. The appearance of Internet has brought about the new hope to educational reform. Network Education can expand development space of educational reform and realize the modernization and information of educational reform owing its many features. For example, Network Education is not limited by time and space and carries huge amount of information and realizes resources sharing and provides various ways of teaching. The rapid development of the network technology has promoted the overall implementation of the building work of campus network. Campus network will become an important environment for teaching and learning. The application of network technology in education has become a new focus and break through in today's education.Campus network of primary and middle schools is application system of modern technology information; It takes transport technology of informational device as support; It takes the school application software and the educational resource as its kernel and takes constructing modern educational pattern as its goal and provides the omni-directional services for the campus.The construction of campus network in primary and middle schools can be divided into two aspects, that is, building layer and application layer. Construction of building layer can set up a kind of network environment, which can provides service for teaching and management and scientific research. In the course of application of campus network each part of application layer can puts forward the new request to this kind of network environment, which demands each part of building layer make corresponding adjustment in order to serve better for application layer.Content of building layer of campus network include four parts: hardware construction, software construction, educational information resources construction and teachers' training.Educational information resources construction is kernel of campus network's construction. It can effectively support teaching web-based and provides different ways of teaching and builds up the ideal learning environment. To realize the support function of educational information resources we must try to effectively manage them and make them orderly and conveniently find out and use. So this paper put forwards a solution scheme that effectively organize and manage educational information resources of campus network, namely database system of educational information resources. During the process of designing the database system of educational information resources combines the thought ofthe soft project and mark the educational resource attribute according to the standard of educational resource build technical specification (the second draft) so that the whole design process is standardized. In the course of procedure developing the attribute of educational resource and XML (Extensible Markup Language) are tied together. Through compiling corresponding document of DTD realize directional search based on the content of resource and can be specified into different levels, such as a single question or picture. Because the course of designing has followed the unified standard that determined the final document form is unified and different application procedure can transfer the resource datum each other. When the different databases exchange datum they can export information of database with interchangeable XML document form and utilize DOM (Document Object Model) access the node or element of XML and import each attribute value of node into other database so that can realize exchanging data between different databases.This paper is divided into five parts to describe the construction of campus network in primary and middle schools:The first part discusses current situation of construction and application of campus network.
