Research On Some Features Of Wushu After The Foundation Of P.R.C

On October1st, 1949, the People's Republic of China declared its independence, thus the country began to create its new history. In the new social system, Wushu, as the "national treasure", also began to stride with the revolution and construction of the country.As the multi-functional carrier, the sports of Wushu began to develop in the sense of science, civilization and regularization with its unique features in the past 50 years after the foundation of P.R.C. from the function of keeping-fitting to the popularization of Wushu sets, from Wushu sets to Sanshou and Wushu sets developing together, from developing the its own resources to widening foreign markets and co-operating with others, from the lower folk sports to Olympic games. All these changes took place in the past fifty years. It can be said that the development Wushu in the past fifty years after the foundation of PRC is the booming period of Wushu.With the methods of document study, discussion, logical analysis and statistics, the paper objectively assesses the main features of the development of Wushu during the past fifty years. It showed the course of Wushu's development from the establishment of its objective, through rash advance, lingering, and developing in a twisted way in this period. With the adjustment in the field of thoughts, Wushu gradually entered the phase ofoverall development and solid multi-elements. Through studying the motivation of the development of Wushu in different historical stages in after 1949, the establishment of the new, the paper means to explore the development of Wushu from the perspective of theory, hence to offer some theoretical evidence for its development.With lots of facts, it is illustrated that in different stages of the past fifty years, features of "new P.E (of the people)", "of the class", "of competition", "of economy", highlighted. On different stages of "keeping fitting", "diplomacy," "culture", "economy", Wushu displayed its value and attraction. To the present topics in Wushu research, the paper also makes a detailed analysis and foresees some tendency of Wushu's development in the future.In the 21st century, facing the great worldwide competition in Wushu, facing the call of the multi-elements development of the new age. Wushu enters the mode-changing period characterized with the general feature of modernization. This requires the sport to reflect on its function in a larger background and to develop its value with a more perspectives. Different features and other relevant factors of Whshu's development in different historical stages provides reference for the quick development of the sports. Through the study on the research subject of the present Wushu institutes, it is disclosed that the following problems in the research field need to be solved:1. Theoretical research on the topic of Wushu's industrialization needs to be deepened. Wushu market needs to be widened. And the system of Wushu competition needs to be improved.2. In the field of Wushu competition, problems as improving the system of holding the competition, revising the regulations and evaluation need to be solved. International Wushu events are not systematic. Specifically, the content of competition, textbooks, forms and levels need to be set.3. In the fields of teaching and training, the sportsman's selection and training, nourishment and training recovery and medicine-taking need to be researched.Reflecting on the course of the modern mode-changing of Chinese Wushu, seeking the course of the fusion of the national features and the features of the age, and thinking over the development of Wushu and the factors that affect on its development show that the 21st century is the century of Wushu's development. Wushu, the national treasure will be on its wings as the eagle and display its position in the fields both opened or not.
