Based on the research on status in quo and development of science teaching in primary schools in foreign countries, this thesis explores the science teaching model in primary schools. Guided by the ideas of inquiry learning, according to "science course criterion (k3~6)", this thesis takes activity as its framework, and emphasized on utilizing it to optimize science teaching process and science learning context. With the guideline of "learning by doing" educational ideas and constructivism and activity theory, this thesis also discusses the main structure of science teaching model and its application from two aspects: genuine science inquiry model and fictitious science inquiry model. We argue that this research on science teaching model can not only facilitate the integration of ideas of new curriculum innovation and e-education, but also integrate IT with disciplines. Meanwhile, it is helpful to promote pupils' science literacy, and push on the implementation of "learning by doing ", inquiry learning, in science learning.In the first section, the author brought out the questions of discussions and explained some important concepts, stated the study reason and the status quo in thisr domain, then made out the study method, the study aim and its theory basis.In the second section, the author used the literature method, in view of the characteristic of science, illuminated the meaning of science literacy. Then the author made a questionnaire and investigated one primary school. By analyzing the result, the author found the gap between the actual and ideal goal.After these investigation and study, in third section, the author put forward two cultivation model for improvement of pupils' science literacy, they are genuine science inquiry model and fictitious science inquiry model.In the fourth section, for the purpose of application, the author discusses how to utilize IT tools to create success!ul inquiry learning environment, outline the main steps of activity inquiry and put forward the methods of carrying out genuine science inquiry and fictitious science inquiry.The fifth section constructs a model of evaluation, which contains three dimensions: science knowledge, science sensibility and science inquiry ability.
