A Study Of Post Ideology Education In The Current Situation At Engineering Colleges And Universities In Inner Mongolia

As the highest level of the educational structure, postgraduate education is an important part of the higher education system in China, with the responsibility of training high-level, high quality innovative talents for the moderation of the country. Therefore, it plays a pivotal role in enhancing the national strength and international competitiveness of the country.Postgraduate education is also an important field for further implementing the national strategy of all-round education. As such, we should, in line with the characteristics of postgraduate education, spare no effort in promoting all-round education creatively and enriching the content of it. As is known to all of us, the ideological and political quality is the basis and soul of an all-round education. Only when the postgraduates possess strong political qualities and high ideologicaland moral standards can they become the backbone of our socialist undertaking. With China's accession to the WTO, we are provided with brand-new access to a much bigger and broader space, where economic globalization and integration is an unavoidable trend. Moreover, with China's deepening of reform arid open-up policies and perfection of the socialist market economy system, we will be able to learn of new perspectives and practices and will inevitably face all-round shock and impact from the outside world. This not only brings unprecedented opportunities and motivations to the comprehensive, speedy and healthy development of the Chinese society and economy, but also poses greater pressuresand challenges to the economy and society of the country as well as the life of the Chinese people. Meanwhile, it also poses a series of new challenges to the ideological and political work at institutions of higher learning. How to strengthen ideological and political education, especially that for postgraduates at sciences and engineering colleges and universities in Inner Mongolia, so as to help students cultivate proper values on and attitudes toward the world and life and to improve their overall quality to meet the needs of the social and economic development of Inner Mongolia, is one of the prime issues that is of great concern to us and in need of research and tackling.Located in the northern border area, Inner Mongolia is socially and economically underdeveloped. Due to historical and geographical reasons, shortage of professionals, lack of leading scientific and technological talents, improper structure of technical personnel and drain of local talents have long been restricting and affecting the social and economic development of the region. In order to train high quality construction and administrative talents for the western and economically backward areas, great emphasis should be laid on the ideological and political work for postgraduates at sciences and engineering colleges and universities in the minority-inhabited region. This is not only the faithful fulfillment of the requirements of the Party and the government, but also an important component of the West Development strategy.In accordance with the actual conditions of Inner Mongolia, through examining the characteristics of the ideological thinking of postgraduates at sciences and engineering colleges and universities, this paper analyzes the challenges facing the ideological and political work for postgraduates at sciences and engineering colleges and universities, provides suggestions on how to respondto them and how to make breakthroughs and innovations in the ideological and political work for the improvement and strengthening of the ideological and political work for postgraduates at sciences and engineering colleges and universities in Inner Mongolia, in an effort to meet the current requirements of the times for postgraduate ideological and political work and to cultivate more and better high quality talents for the social advancement and economic developmentof Inner Mongolia.
