To cultivate a number of qualified labors and specialists who can adapt and impel the social progress is one of the major functions of universities. Facing the intense and complicated competition coming from the society, the frequency of roles change, the enlargement of knowledge economy, the harmonious development between man and nature, the universities have to bear a heavy burden to improve undergraduates competitive power and stimulate the socialization of undergraduate.The paper adopts the research techniques such as literature consulting, comparative and synthetic analysis on the basis of theories of sociology and pedagogy, describes the colleging acceleration during the course of socialization of undergraduate and countermeasure. Refering to the typical individual socialized theory abroad, it formulates the definition, main content and characteristic of the socialization of undergraduate. From the practical eyes, the paper construes the concrete functions of colleging in promoting socialization of undergraduate in order to realize undergraduate's socialization of politics and morals, accelerate undergraduate's socialization of psychological quality, boost undergraduate's socialization of professional quality, facilitate undergraduate's socialization of knowledge skill, and promote undergraduate's socialization of role. And analyses colleging existing deficiency and problem during the course of socialization of undergraduate. Finally proposes some concrete measures on how colleging promotes socialization of undergraduate.
