Scientific inquiry has already been listed as one of the topics of the specific content in"The Standards of Living Creature Course for Full-time Compulsory Education." And it alsopermeates the other topics. "Inquiring Study" Is in harmony with the "corpus-orientated" educational principlewhich is put forward by the modern educational theoreticians and also in accordance with theeducational idea of "Being based on humanity and developing in all an all-round way". Itwill lay solid foundations for the lifelong study of the students. We should advocate the teaching method of "inquiring study" in the junior high schoolstage, thus making the students acquire knowledge in the course of inquiry and developingtheir inquiring ability. This will not only be beneficial for the students to make further studyof biology, but also beneficial for nurturing talents in the future. "Inquiring teaching" is based on the content of the course and is orientated towards thestudents. Its studying methods involve posing questions, collecting materials, processinginformation, experimenting, verifying information and solving problems. The teacher willparticipate in the activities as the guide and the participant of these activities, during thecourse of which the teacher and the students will communicate fully. It is an extension and amodel of the classroom teaching and it also illustrates the meaning of the educational idea thatteaching benefit teachers as well as students. In its process, curricular activities and extracurricular activities complement each other.The nature of problem, process and corpus-orientation characterizes its process. The writer of this article, according to the standards of living creature course, probes intothe strategy of inquiring teaching and also ponders over the common problems occurring inthe course of course of classroom teaching of developing the students inquiring ability. In the process of the course study, the writer has pretested and posttested the students inthe class being experimented and carried out data covariance as well.
