The Region Distributed Characteristic And Influence Factor Of Urban University Student's Height Of Our Country

Economic development is the source of the superior material life, which is not only bringing abundant material condition to mankind and also brought negative influence to human life at the same time " Health problem " is the most important one. How can mankind both enjoy rich material life and possess complete psychology and the physique of health? All of the countries in the world have proved through practices and researches that raising physique level is an effective way to prevent "health problem". So, exploring body and mind of teenagers as well as how to improve teenagers' physique becomes national solicitude, in which the physique research about teenagers becomes the focus and hot spot. But former researches, most of which were to carry out surface analysis on the basis of some data, and much less from overlapping angles on deep level. The current paper, based on this kind of background, is to make scientific and accurate investigation on the regional features of national college students' height and its influence factors through referring to domestic and international references, and summarizing their experiences as well. The main methods I have adopted include mathematical statistics, experts interview, etc. The focus of this study is to explore the developmental regularity, tendency and the influence factors of Chinese college students' height from different perspectives such as humanities and geography. Through comparing and analyzing Chinese university student's physique monitoring data during 1985-2000, we can see: 1. At present National urban population distribution demonstrate that the height in college students between male and female show a development trend that " the north high, the south low ", namely the higher the latitude is, the lower the average temperature of the whole year is, the higher the stature is. 2. At present National urban population distribution demonstrate that " high in the east and low in the west ". That is, the larger the longitude is, the more obvious stature is in height. 3. Among the cities of the same latitude, there is a trend of the height development of university students of both male and female: students in coastal cities are higher than those in inland cities. 4. Making a general survey of the development trend of height of national urban university students of male and female, the interval development speed in different provinces and development level differ among 15 years. The urban student's growth trend of the South is in the relative stagnant state, even more obvious downward trend appears in some provinces of the South, and urban students of the North are still during the course of increasing. 5. The development of the height has more obvious inherent causes besides geographical factors such as urban economic development, education level, and living standard etc.
