Education with human-orientation is a brand new concept as well as an important principle in ideological and political education. The introduction of human-orientation concept into ideological and political education of university students is a must under the new situation and at new times. It helps the ideological and political education to be scientific and modern.At present, there are only a few specialized researches and probes aiming at how to bring human-orientation concept into play, which do not play sufficient role in guiding such education. Contra pose such situation, the paper, based on the existing achievements and sticking to Marxism, fully analyses the present situation of ideological and political education of university students with human-orientation by the thorough examination of the deeper significance of human-orientation concept. It proposals effective countermeasures to advance ideological and political education of university students, hoping to promote the application of human-orientation concept into education. Thus the distinctive function and value of ideological and political education can be brought into full play. The paper is divided into three parts.The first part: the meaning of human-orientation and its important significance on ideological and political education of university students. This part begins with the development process of human-orientation and gives a new definition to it. Then the paper makes a comprehensive analysis of the significance of the ideological and political education with human-orientation so as to provide theoretical basis for further research.The second part: The analysis of the present situation of the ideological and politicaleducation of university students with human-orientation. This is the difficult part of the whole paper, focusing on how the human-orientation concept is applied in the ideological and political education from positive and negative aspects. It also explains the reasons why the concept is neglected, which provides basis for furthering the ideological and political education.The third part: the pondering of enhancing the ideological and political education. This is the key part of the whole paper. The author carries out systematic research in this part on two layers: the general demands of applying human-orientation education and concrete measures. It suggests effective ways and corresponding measures to promote ideological and political education of university students with human-orientation, which act as theoretical reference and practical guide.
