This essay is made up of three chapters for emphasizing the necessity and the importance of the EQ education in the current teaching, to appeal to the teaching staffs, parents and the society to attach importance to train and raise the students' EQ .In Chapter One , This article has elaborated the theoretical background of the EQ ,the difference and relation between the EQ and IQ, the revelation of the EQ education, the function of the EQ education. In Chapter Two, The writer has analyzed some serious problems concerning the secondary school students' unhealthy mentality exsisting among the students., including those who are good at learning but weak in self control, bad relationship with others. The writer has also proved that both family education and teachers' classroom teaching can help to improve the secondary school students' EQ. In the same chapter the writer has showed the successful results he has got, the ways that how the English classroom teaching and classroom management are performed to help to improve the secondary school students' EQ . In Chapter Three, The writer has drawn the following conclusions according to his study on the students in Branch of No.13 Middle School of Nanjing as both an English teacher and a teacher in charge of a class.1. Improving secondary school students' EQ can improve the secondary school students' unhealthy mentality2.Teachers' EQ improvement can help to raise their students'3.Proper family education can help to raise their kids' EQ4.Subjects teaching and class management can help to raise the students' EQ5.Using the EQ theory can improve the secondary school students' English learning6. Improving secondary school students' EQ can improve their IQ I hope EQ theory to be perfected, to be widely performed in secondary schools. I hope more and more students with both higher and better IQ and EQ will appear in our society.
