The Study On Establishing A System Of Informatization Of Universities

A tidal wave of new science and technology symbolized with informatization has surged forward since 1990's. Informatization of universities, with advanced science and technology as its advantage, on one hand, enhances the fundamental transform of education ideas, education system, education management, education means and methods; On the other hand, promotes modernization of higher education and sustainable development of universities. The seeking for the establishment of informatization of universities does not go well in spite of the phasic fruits some universities have achieved in informatization construction practice. Quite many universities have not attached the importance to integrated informatization system. Still there are difficulties and problems existing in its research study and practice investigation. Macroscopic and over-all research should be carried out on the informatization of universities since it is a complicated systematic project. Only in this way can we achieve the full understanding of it, analyze its structure, and adopt counter strategies to promote its process. This paper tries to conduct a research on the informatization of universities from a systematic perspective and bring forward a question for discussion on the systematic construction of informatization of universities. First, it analyzes the concept and innovation of informatization of universities, the process of informatization of universities, and expounds some relating theories to the construction of informatization of universities. In the way of analyzing, it reduces the problems into two main factors. Subsequently, it poses the basic principles of the construction of informatization system in universities, demonstrates the URP model, works out a relatively integrated informatization system. Finally, it puts forward the strategies with which informatization system could be established in universities.
