As for the current state of China's college entrance examination system are less competitive and difficult to adapt to the demands of the development of the era, based on the application of the research methods such as comparison method, literature method, American's is chosen to be studied even though there are big different between the two countries'. Through comparing the current situation and reasoning analysis, American's successful experience will provide a useful reference for the reform and development of China's.There are three main parts of the paper:The first part of this paper are compared the differences of the form, content, scoring and its significance to students between American and China, based on the transfer and analysis large quantities of first-hand data and information.The second part is the analysis of the reasons separately from the historical, cultural, administrative and policy, economic, higher education development, theory support. Pointed out there are varied reasons for the deficiencies of our current entrance examination system.The paper present in the third part of the successful experiences of American college entrance examination for our reference and inspiration. Summarized in four aspects, the first is making government departments a clear positioning, stratifying colleges and universities, and increasing economic input, strengthening theoretical study. In terms of content, stress the practice, with emphasis on capacity testing and potential inspection. In form, the exam should be conducted by sections, shortening the time and paying attention to both arts and sciences. In aspect of assessment, the exam should be recommended the adoption of the standard C scores, indicated individual scores and advocated comprehensive assessing students.
