Problem is the origin of creation . Problem doesn't always bring about creation , but no problem , no creation . To certain extent , problem-finding , especially valuable problem-finding is the key to creation . So , in the knowledge-economy era characterized of creation , it's very important for students to have problem awareness , to lay stress on problem-finding , problem-organization , problem-posing , and to have corresponding abilities . This paper takes primary school students as the object of research , and interprets the concept , the psychological mechanism and the external behavior of problem awareness on the basis of former research . Then , the paper analyses the current state and the defects of pupils' problem awareness in our primary school . At last, some countermeasures are introduced . So , there are three parts in the paper .The first part discusses problem awareness of primary school students . Based on the critical analysis of the former research about the subject , the concept ,the psychological mechanism and the external behavior of problem awareness are interpreted . Furthermore , the part reveals the character of pupils' problem awareness , compared with the problem awareness of pre-school students , middle school students and the researchers .The second part focus on the current state and the defects of pupils' problem awareness , and also gives the reasons to the defects . According to the data from the investigation(including questionaires and records of classes) of one central primary school , the part analyses the current state of pupils' problem awareness, and it is said that the pupils' problem awareness is weak terribly . They don't do well in not only problem- finding but also problem-posing actively . It finds out that pupils' qualities , our present educational views and educational system , the whole social atmosphere as well are connected with the defects .The third part puts forward the countermeasures to cultivate and improve pupils' "problem awareness . It needs not only to improve pupils' qualities to lay the foundation of pupils' problem awareness , but also to optimize teaching to provide suitable environment for pupils' problem awareness.
