On The Cultivation Of The National Culture Awareness In Chinese Teaching In Middle Schools

The development of civilization has made the mankind get away from ignorance, as well as the simple and honest nature. National culture is now facing a crisis because of the prevalence of the alien cultures. Under the circumstances of ruthless competition for existence, whether the young generation can develop soundly is directly related to the future development of Chinese people. Confronted with the stern circumstance around us, we have to build our own spirit home, enrich our knowledge of our conventional culture so that Chinese decedents can prosper. High schools, which provide fundamental education, have the mission of laying a solid foundation of national culture on the ideology of the young generation. The thesis mainly discusses the significance of cultivating the students'awareness of national culture in current Chinese language teaching. By interpreting the implication of awareness of culture and analyzing the feasibility of cultivating cultural awareness, the writer clarifies the correct attitudes toward carrying national culture education. Meanwhile, the writer proposes his own ideas about how to cultivate the student's cultural awareness.The thesis consists of six parts.Part one tells the current teaching condition. Combining the practice of teaching, the writer analyzing the loss of national culture awareness in Chinese language teaching in the three aspects of the teacher's knowledge of culture, the teaching method as well as the teaching materials.Part two gives the significance of cultivating student's awareness of national culture.Part three is the definition of national culture awareness. Tracing the connotation of culture, and combining the language teaching in the middle school, the writer gives the definition of national culture awareness as well as the description and interpretation of it.
