An Investigation Into The Status Quo And The Related Factors Of The Sports Consumption Of CollegeStudents In Changchun

Sport consumption, as an important part of daily consumption in modern society, is one of the issues covered in the study of Sport Economics. With the establishment of market economy system in China and the improvement of the production capability of Chinese society, the prosperity of the sport industry in China has led to the exploration and development of the market of sport consumption. College students, as the main body of the future cities, are also the main group of participants in sports activities. Therefore, their sport consumption has certain effect upon the tendency of future sport consumption. Besides, for college students, sport consumption is related to their physical and psychological growth. Thus, a psychological and sociological study of the situation of sport consumption of college students will be of great significance to the sport industry in Jilin province and even that in the whole nation.Combining the methods of documentary analysis, expert interview, questionnaire investigation, logical and statistical analysis and comparison, and taking the college students in Changchun as the subjects for research, this paper investigates and analyses their present situation of sport consumption in terms of their consciousness, concepts, levels and motives of sport consumption. The paper also conducts an R-factor analysis of the elements that influence the sport consumption of Changchun college students. The following conclusions are drawn through the above analysis: Changchun college students hold positive attitudes toward sport consumption. They have accepted sport consumption as a part of their lives since they have gradually realized its functions to keep fit as well as entertain oneself; Quite a number of college students in Changchun hold the idea of frugal sport consumption; Sport clothes take up the main percentage of sport consumption of Changchun college students; The sport consumption levels of Changchun college students vary from an annual sum of 100 to 700 RMB, which on the whole is at a low level; The study of regular percentage and t-examination statistical analysis show that apparent discrepancy exists among college students of different sexes, in different classes and from different places; Two or more than two kinds of motives drive nearly all the college students in Chanchun to consume for sport, etc.
