This thesis is guided by the idea of "Education-Balance-Development", using qualitativeresearch approach researches the development of rural teacher's ability of applyinginformation technology in teaching. Based on the observation and interview to a Chineseteacher from rural junior school, the thesis analyses the current situation of the developmentrural teacher's ability of applying information technology in teaching and main factors thatinfluence its development, and offers some suggestions which improve the development ofrural teacher's ability of applying information technology and Chinese EducationalTechnology Standard for P-12 Teachers (trial edition).The thesis consists six chapters:First, on the basis of the important status of teacher's ability of applying informationtechnology in teaching for rural education informationalizing and the angle of relationChinese Educational Technology Standard for P-12 Teachers (trial edition) and thedevelopment of rural teacher's ability of applying information technology in teaching, theauthor establishes the research question and analyzes its purpose and meaning.Second, the thesis explains the course of the research from five aspects: thedetermination of the research approach;the choice of the object of study;the reliability andvalidity of the research;the course and method of collecting materials;the arrangement andanalysis of the materials.Third, the author reviews theoretically teacher's ability of applying informationtechnology in teaching, defined the conception of teacher's ability of applying informationtechnology in teaching, and design tentative annotation frame.Fourth, on basis of the researcher's observation and interview to the case, combing therelevant document materials, the author describes and explains the current situation of ruralteacher's ability of applying information technology in teaching about the case.Fifth, the author analyzes the current situation and internal and external factors thatinfluence the development of rural teacher's ability of applying information technology inteaching.Sixth, aiming at the current situation and the factors that influence the case's ability ofapplying information technology in teaching, the author puts forward some suggestions todevelop the rural teacher's ability of applying information technology in teaching andcomplete Chinese Educational Technology Standard for P-12 Teachers (trial edition) .
