The situation of moral education in middle schools today is not perfect, many practical problems are urgent in need of being solved. That demands a thorough reform and to blaze new trails. My paper has sysmatically described and analized the principle concepts, main contents and some characteristics concerning the moral education in middle schools, based on the necessity and social significance of the problem that I have studied. So I have come to the conclusion that we are facing 4 principle problems as follows: the position of moral education in middle schools, the value of moral education in middle schools, the dogmatist standard of moral education that teenagers are treated as grown-ups and, the scientific and objective assessment of moral education in middle schools. Therefore I would like to advocate 6 specific measures to reform the moral education in middle schools: 1. To take a right direction in the reform of moral education in middle schools. 2. To change the old concept of moral education in middle schools. 3. To adjust the contents and ways in the reform of moral education in middle schools. 4. To establish a new system of moral education management in middle schools. 5. To strengthen the co-operations of moral education between schools and society. 6. To correct the deviations and cultivate the new concept of moral education in middle schools. Finally the paper makes a tentative summary of the moral education in middle schools and show the prospects for the future.
