The international teachers specialization movement as wall as Chinese newly starting reform on basic curriculum have raised deterrent requirements for teachers and teachers'-oriented education -including reeducation of teachers-and set a new way for its development. Responding to this situation, the staff in the branch of senior chemistry education on adult students with junior degree (a branch dealing with teachers reeducation) in the chemical school of Gansu lianhe University has launched an experimental teaching and studying on the teaching mode of "Reflection-Discovery-Research" (hereafter referred to as RDR).And decided in the first phrase to study and application its theory in the teaching of "study on Chemical Experiment in Middle School".The RDR takes the theory of "reflective teaching" and "reflective teacher education" as its basic theoretical foundation.The basic premises of the RDR are: The acquisition of adult students is mainly obtained through reflecting and is characterized by studying for practicing; the students are self guider and are good at and glad to cooperative study.The RDR generally has three stages: Reflection, Discovery, and Research. Yet in the RDR's practical operation, these three factors perform without a regular sequence. They often mutually influenced and interacted.The principles in the implementing of the RDR are: stimulating the motives and vigorously expanding the demands; arousing the childlike curiosity and encouraging the full expression of students characters; promoting innovation and helping to overcome the mechanical way in thinking.In the operation of the RDR, the teachers are the creators of study environment, the organizers and cooperators, the promoters and guides the appreciators and the educators while the adult students are: the relearners of the knowledge on their major subjects, teaching methodology and other related subjects + the researchers on the teaching of their major subject.The RDR has been continuously applicated and studied in the teaching of "Study on Chemical Experiment in Middle School" two grade of senior adult students majoring in chemistry education and the results are satisfied achieved in the light improvement of the previous experimental methods and the reorganization of the conditions for some minimal experiments and sane chemical reflection experiments.
