Pierre Bourdieu is a famous anthropologist and sociologist, the leader of France education reform, who has great influence on the sociology. He has been widely recognized as one of the three European sociology pioneers. He received recognition for his thoughts and works. It is very important to investigate Bourdieu's sociological thoughts systematically, which has great value on enriching and developing sociological thoughts in higher education. There are four parts of this article. Including decipher his text, present his thoughts and the research method on sociological thoughts in higher education systematically.First, the study introduced Pierre Bourdieu's life,academic career and main works, and then discussed field, capital, and habitus which he used as his conception tools.Second, the study discussed his macro-sociological thoughts, mainly introducing the social function of higher education, analyzing the culture and class relation reproducing process; I will introduce both the equal opportunity and the behavior as well as the cause of formation of inequality on higher education.Third, viewed on a micro point, the study discussed his micro-sociological thoughts, mainly introducing the sociological characters of teachers and students in university, at the same time sociologically analyzing the teaching contents, the teaching curriculum and the curriculum evaluation in university, trying to discover the mechanism, the faith and culture in university at a sociological point of view.Fourth, the study evaluated his contribution to Sociological thoughts in higher education, mainly paying more attention to the theory Schema and methodology of Sociological thoughts in higher education, the character of reproducing process of social and mind structure, then discovering the essence of higher education.
