Naissance as a disciplinary of higher education in China, after more than twenty years' developing and exploring, we aren't construct a series of relatively perfect and scientific disciplinary theory and group of disciplinary, they can't discover and establish the especial research method is the key-reason. Recently years, interdisciplinary studies are increasingly attended by researchers and practicers of higher education, and gradually became the especial, important method of the disciplinary construction research of the pedagogy of higher education. This research discriminates and bounds the disciplinary, multi-disciplinary studies, interdisciplinary studies, trans-disciplinary studies, interdisciplinary studies of higher education and disciplinary construction of the pedagogy of higher education, then compares the similarities and differences of interdisciplinary studies of higher education between China and US on connotation/being, genesis/keystone, configuration/method, opinion/object, we think that the interdisciplinary studies promote the improvement and re-construction of higher education from method to system. We also discover that this method can provide references for the disciplinary construction of the pedagogy of higher education, especially for its creation of research method, spread of research field and stockpile of discipline culture.Through concluding and summarizing, we know that there are some bifurcations and controversies. We think that the pedagogy of higher education is one part of the relation science, which break the traditional classified method of science, in the comparing process we bring forward putting the interdisciplinary studies as the especial research method of disciplinary construction of the pedagogy of higher education and carry through the attempt of disciplinary differentiation and integration. It's having proved that make full use of interdisciplinary studies to construct and consummate the system of the pedagogy of higher education and the higher education research have definite advancing effect.This thesis includes two parts of one problem: first, discuss the similarities and differences of higher education interdisciplinary studies between China and US, and its apocalypses; second, discuss the particular methodology meanings of interdiscipl inary studies to the disciplinary construction of the pedagogy of higher education on comparative perspectives. The conclusion is that the polarization and integration of the higher education discipline is according its external and internal rules.
