Being future generations of our country, junior high school students are in the key development transition from instability to maturity with great mutability of character consequently, their ideological and political education in brought into limelight. Confronted with new challenges in the new period of reformation and opening, the traditional educational pattern is no longer adoptable to the characteristics of junior high school students. There before, there is great agency to seek an efficient and practicable approach to the job. By sampling survey of 421 students in three high schools in Guyana county, Bayannuoer league, Inner Mongolia, this thesis is trying to improve the substantial results of the job in the light of the existing problems concerned and moral characteristics ob Junior high school students.I .Deepening the understanding the priority ob ideological and political education .We are supposed to attach great importance to the practicability ob the guideline of all-round development with morality as its priority ob our national education.II .Upholding the principle of seeking truth from facts. This principle guides us to have an objective understanding of the status of students' ideology and morality, during the new period; meanwhile, we shall be practical and realistic in directing students to form goodhabit ob moral conducts, overcoming formism and paying attention to small incidents.III .Insisting on the ideology of subject education. We shall cultivate their subject consciousness in their setf-deuelopmeat, thus conuerging moral values into their conscious effort.IV.persisting in the integration of theory with practice .It in had to develop proper moral conduct out of proper moral values and sentiments only by means ob the theoretical instillation .V .Attaching great importance to potential subjects and making full use of them in the work of junior high school students' idcdogical and political education. Although it in said to be radical in a sense to be influenced morally by contact, yet it is of great importance to form good moral values in better surroundings. At this stage , therefore, it is more effective for students to learn to behave themselves, fell good from evil, either consciously or unconsciously.
