For a long time,we have been used to a still and isolated thinking style. The emplacement of project-based learning will change our thinking and learning methods completely. If students master this learning method, they will learn to find out problem in class or around themselves. They will analyze, inquire, and solve the problem with research methods and the knowledge they learn in class. In my opinion, if we want to master and use a new method, we should depend on the subjects and connect it with the subjects. This will not add new burden to foundation education and students. If project-based learning is used to direct and change our education style, the old and traditional education will be changed totally. This kind of education will meet the need of modern time. Language is the media of culture and education. English teaching introduces foreign culture to Chinese students, and it will affect the improvement and the development of students. Therefore, the carrying out project-based learning in English teaching is meaningful. The subject of English has its own independent knowledge system. It involves the society, economy, culture, and history. All of these are from nature, society, and life and have a close contact with the real world. If we do research carefully, we will find that there are a lot of problems worthy of being inquired in the subject of English. We can meet with the problems of the English language in and out of classroom. The problems may be target-based by teachers or they may be raised by students and solved by students themselves; they can be done by the students individually or by group work; project-based learning may be the practice about the knowledge and skills or the exploration of the unknown ;the results may be right or wrong, even resultless. Through project-based learning, we bring in advanced learning methods to class to improve teaching notions and methods. Students can take part in the teaching and learning actively. The atmosphere in the classroom will be open, democratic, and active.
