Ancient wisdom finds its finest expressions in the writings of Confucius. One could say that Confucius was the father of Chinese culture. He has been honored as a saint in China and is listed as one of the top ten world historical and cultural figures by UNESCO.There is an old saying in China"One may get to know how to govern the world after reading half of The Analects". The Analects of Confucius has always been regarded as a classic by scholars whose aim of life is to cultivate themselves, put their family in order, run the local government well and bring peace to the entire country. As a source of the oriental culture, Confucianism enjoys a worldwidepopularity. It is now up to us to preserve and pass on this legacy to future generations. Therefore, it is advisable to promote classicreading in senior high schools.
