The performance appraisal of the college teachers not only is a guarantee for the overall development of the college but also has a crucial effect on the guide and promotion of the individual improvement of the college teachers. However, recently we don't have a guiding principle which can adjust itself according to the changes of the environment. Therefore, the contradiction and problem of the evaluation system have come up, which bring some negative effects to the accomplishment of the overall goal of the college and then restrict the developments of the college teachers.Consequently, this dissertation brings a new theory "HeXie Management" into the appraisal of the performance of college teachers, whose main goal is to found more optimized settings and human stimulation to prompt the development of the performance appraisal in college by changing the management ideology in college nowadays. Through explaining the "HeXie Management" theory and analyzing its requirements, this theory is proved to be essential for the assessment of the performance of college teachers. Additionally, this thesis demonstrates the feasibility of the "HeXie management" theory as the guiding system by analyzing the inner coherence between the "HeXie Management" appraisal system and the background, the management essence of the performance assessment for the college teachers.In this dissertation, the theory of "HeXie Management" is not only introduced into area of the performance appraisal in the colleges, but also used to construct an evaluation system utilized for the performance appraisal for the college teachers comprehensively. First, the right strategy for this assessment is established; and then, the "HeXie Theme" for this strategy in the assessment system is well established; and last after the strategy and the theme are confirmed, the appraisal mechanism used under the proper "He principles" and "Xie principles" corresponding to the "HeXie Theme" is also well established.We hope that the introduction of the new theory "HeXie Management" will bring appropriate directions for the reconstruction of the performance appraisal system of college teachers.
