At present, the development of distance education has become a global educational trend. Since the initiation of China's Modem Distance Education Pilot Project, distance education has experienced great development. Especially, distance education based on computer networks has popularized rapidly. Network Education has become an important component of education cause, and became an industry fields with broad prospects. Meanwhile, distance education industry has been growing rapidly. Higher Distance Education has the largest share of this market.With the continuing development of distance education, distance education practitioners increased rapidly. The professionalization of distance education professionals became an urgent request. It depends on two ways as follows:.one way is through distance education employees' training to improve their quality and capacity; the other way relies on distance education professional disciplines to foster distance education professionals. In the first place, we must answer the following two questions: what kind of distance education professionals should we foster? What courses do they need? Researchers have proposed that the distance education curriculum should be based on capacity analysis, market demand analysis and subject analysis system. In a market economy, the professionals' development objectives and the corresponding curriculum should be established according to the market demand analysis.This study surveyed higher distance education institutions, investigated the status and needs of human resources, the human resources structure of institutions, and then analyzed their needs and positioning of distance education professionals, and further interviewed the professional development needs of each professional role. Based on the results of the survey hereinbefore, using the already existing distance education curriculum for reference, this study put forward the course system for each professional role of distance education.This thesis is divided into six chapters: Chapterâ… was introduction, outlining the development of distance education, as a cause, an industry and a specialty in China; Chapterâ…¡elaborated the content, progress, approach and significance of this study; Chapterâ…¢was preliminary investigate and verification of the validity of research tools; Chapterâ…£elaborated the plan, implementation and result analysis of the stratified sample of distance education institutions, described the demand and structure of human resources, and analyzed the demand and positioning for distance education professionals; Chapterâ…¤interviewed the four professional roles of distance education roles, analyzed their needs of professional development, used the already existing distance education curriculum, the ability structural analysis and the subject content analysis for reference, then put forward the courses system for each distance education professional role. Chapterâ…¥was the conclusion and follow-up research of this study.This study provided important gist for the cultivation and training of distance education professionals. For the already existing distance education curriculum, the ability structural analysis and the subject content analysis is a testing and development. This study has great significance to promote the specialization of distance education professionals.
