On The Construction Of Urban Living Space

Since the 1990s, as China's urban housing system reform and the gradual establishment of the market economy, from a different perspective urban resident individually chose the commercial housing, the economic strength and social and cultural levels of choices has emerged in cities where living space structure level trends. This paper is under the background which urban living space is becoming obvious characteristics of the level, on the structure of the living space -- a certain type of high-quality residential ecological research. This research applies human ecology and the research of the theory class on urban living space, takes the on-site visits and secondary data collection as the methods of this research, discusses the forming process of "Nanhu space", explores the issue of social integration and class, provided some suggestions to how to achieve social justice and social integration.The author uses the "Nanhu space" conceptualized the living room of Nanhu Lakes residential real estate in and around the living room, in Changchun, and then started writing this article.Firstly, the School of Human Ecology, neo-classical school of economic thought, School acts of the new city and the school parties abroad classic sociological theories of urban living space, lay a solid theoretical foundation for this research on urban living space; meanwhile, the amount research on urban living space by s scholars from all walks of life also provide clear analysis perspective for this study. Under the guidance of human ecology and other research related to urban living space, this paper discusses the "Nanhu space" under the guidance of the human ecology and other relative research theories about urban living space, and from the two perspective of the social integration and social differentiation, through on-site visits and secondary data collection.Secondly, when human ecologists research a community, they first analysis for its "location". By the analysis of natural and geographical advantages of Nanhu, the author gets this conclusion,"Nanhu surrounding quality breeding all the elements of the ideal family", reveals the fundamental reason that Nanhu surrounding areas become the competing living space of society. Meanwhile, neighboring Hunan, the author also have found the common characteristics by the matrix of real estate projects: Relying on Nanhu, taking Nanhu as a selling point; Residential development is the major type; High-quality ecological communities; Location top of the purchase of the crowd. It is the common characteristics that constitute the living space quality of"Nanhu space": the high-quality living space and the nature of ecological living space. The analysis of Nanhu Lakes and its surrounding residential real estate provide a more direct view for the deep research on"Nanhu space".Thirdly, by analyzing the real estate projects in South Lake and its surrounding, the author defined the concept of "Nanhu space": "a high-quality ecological living space collectivity which constituted by Nanhu space mainly and other living spaces that around Nanhu space." Meanwhile, the author analyzes three main actors who promote the formation of Nanhu Space-- the government, the real estate developers and urban residents and explains the formation of Nanhu space theoretically on the view of competition mechanism of "location" and the process analysis of "invasion" and "substitute" of human ecology. Meanwhile, the author also summarized four living space characteristics of the Nanhu space– community gentrification, the owners of high-level, space privatization and strict management of the community, which help us analyse the social integration of the Nanhu space and the stratification of the urban living space.Fourthly, as a mode of living space, South Lake space promotes the development of urban living after space after its own formation. However, as a "special community", it plays a different social role in the process of urban government: on the view of the internal Nanhu space, the homogeneity of its class provided favorable conditions for the social integration within the space; on the view of the whole urban living space, the members'stratification identity of Nanhu space is strengthening increasingly, at the same time the tendency of stratification of Nanhu space and other types of living spaces is also more and more evident. The whole urban living has been showing the stratification. Living space stratification and social stratification are linked with each other, so the social conflicts causing by them have emerged gradually and can be sharpened easily.After concluding the current state of urban living space, the author proposes some constructive suggestions for the real estate developers and the government: as the governor of the urban community, the government should macro-control and grasp the social problems urban which occurred in the planning and development process of urban community; as a promoter of the development of urban community, the real estate developers should strengthen their sense of social responsibility in the process of profit pursuit and weaken the boundaries of the living space stratification. The planning and reform process of urban community cannot be accomplished at one stroke. It is a gradual process, so the transformation of urban living space has some inconsistent and uneven characteristics. How to weaken the boundaries of urban living space stratification, avoid the social conflicts and achieve social equity and social integration have become a great issue that need urgent solution provided by sociologists.At present, the research on the integration of urban living space is still relatively absent in domestic sociology study. The author hopes that this paper can provides a new study point of view for urban sociology and finds a new way to construct a harmonious society through the research of sociologists on the social integration functions and stratification of urban living space.
