Structuration: The Empirical Study Of The Consequences Of Social Stratified Of Northwest Villages

Social Stratification research is a theoretical and practical problem which was focused on by sociologists. Whether western or Chinese, this field of research is more. From the social consequences of the stratified approach, my research mainly analysis the rural community northwest stratification. The consequences of social stratification is to explore the people who in the social stratification system in place (such as class attribution) whether affected or how influence their attitudes and behavior,and resulting in social and political consequences, which namely the existence of identifiable class culture.This study is on the basis of the previous research, trying to analysis rural community northwest of the structure of the degree by using Godden's class structure theory. Giddens class structure theory explains that the the identity of groups and class categories overlap together, the class will really form (structure).In other words ,the structure mainly dependent on the incumbent and the sharing of consumer behavior patterns degree of uniformity. By deductiving, we have drawn four hypothesis which were tested. The occupations is the main basis of rural northwest social stratification; The second is that at a higher level vocation stratified society members who possess a higher position of comsumption stratified, at the lower position of the members of society have a lower position of consumption stratified.The third is that at a higher level vocational stratified society members who possess a higher level of consumption lifestyles, at the lower position of the members of society have a lower level of consumption lifestyles, occupations and lifestyles are strongly linked; The fourth is when the linked is very strongly,the structure of the phenomenon is obvious.In this paper,we will analysis and certify the lanzhuo village social class differentiation, occupational stratification and the corresponding consumption stratified by data. Finally, we concluded that the northwest village social trends in the structure of consumption stratification quite apparent, and the extent was growing deeper.
