The Research And Implementation Of An Open Style Teaching Resource Management Model In Colleges

With the informatization of teaching activities, there are plenty of digital teaching resources in colleges that come from teaching or researching. These first hand resources are valuable for colleges' teaching, however, they are still used in small area such as by personal or in staff room and lack of standardization. On the other hand, there are large resource management platforms in colleges now, but their resources are scarce because of their close structures. The research background of this thesis just comes from above. The main purpose of this thesis is how to develop a scientific resource management model and use it to collect and integrate those scattered digital resources and provide services for teaching in colleges.Beginning with the discussion of standardization and serviceuniversality of resource management, the thesis studies the selection of technologies in teaching resource management. And then, it researches a college teaching resource management model based on XML and Web Services. In order to solve the problems of standardization and extensibility, the resources are described with XML. Some general functions such as user authentication and the searching & accessing of resource are constructed with Web Services, so the platform can share its resource data and services ability with other system or platform.Through problem analysis and programming practice, an open style resource management model has been developed and a practical platform has been implemented based on the model. The program development work is based on the Windows and .NET environment. The feasibility and advantages of using XML & Web Services to manage teaching resource have been certified by researching work of this thesis. When Web Services are used on resource management, a platform has the possibility to share services with different constructed system. This open style resource management platform can promote the self-increase of teaching resources and provide a solution for sharing data among different systems in a multi-campus university.
