The systematic research on educational function of physics history started in 1980s in our country. For more than 20 years, teachers have exerted their efforts to explore this field in theory and practice. Although a great of achievements have been made, it is not enough perfect, especially a lot of theoretical and practical questions about penetrating physics history in innovative education remain to be studied further.On the basis of the existing achievements, this paper probes into the theory and practice of the penetrating physics history in innovative education. This paper tries hard to find reliable and profound theoretical foundations for the combination of physics history and innovative education, and in order to make the teaching practice more scientific and operational in the physics innovative education.Apart from preface, this paper consists of four chapters. Chapter 1 presents the definition of innovative education and physics history, and expounds the advantages of teaching and educational factors of the combination of physics history and innovative education. Chapter 2 describes the theoretical basis of infiltrating physics history into innovative education, and reveals the corresponding enlightenment. Meanwhile, it explores operational principle and teaching mode of the teaching practice. The chapter 3 is divided into three parts. Firstly, the situation of the demand on the combination of physics history and innovative education is investigated and analyzed; Secondly, aiming at the development of the students' innovative quality, the probe and analysis have been done by discussing specific examples from physics history. And the innovative educational function of physics history is revealed. Then, some teaching strategies are propounded. Thirdly, two representative examples are provided through specific cases and analysis for the teaching of penetrating physics history in innovative education. Chapter 4 summarizes the subject.
