The middle school and primary school students are the hope and future of both China and Chinese Wushu. Only to promote and popularize Wushu among the middle school and primary school students, can make this national essence permanent. As early as 1960's, the contents and course hours of Whshu class were already explicitly stipulated in our National Outline of Chinese Middle school and Primary school's Physical Educations, and unified teaching materials were designated. However, there has been many problems during live implementations, which causes the Wushu teaching still remain at the lag stage. This article, based on the samples from Yuncheng city in Shanxi province, is attempt to start from the attitudes that the students hold towards Wushu class to explore the reasons of this lag as well as to propose some corresponding countermeasures, in hopes that it can provide some quotable mode for the further implementation and developments of Wushu teaching course in Middle school and primary school of that area. The article comes to the following conclusions:1) The current situation of the middle school and primary school's wushu class at Yuncheng city are not ideal, with the rate of opening course only 69.3%. Wushu teachers comparatively lack, and the Wushu teaching is merged into other sport classes, which leads the insufficiency of Wushu class'course hours. Apart from that, the insufficiencies are also manifested in wushu's playground, equipments, clothing and so on. All these insufficiencies are hindering the development of Wushu teaching in this area. While Shanxi province is respected as the homeland of Xingyiquan, and practicing martial arts are historical prevalence of Yuncheng city, Wushu teaching is, on the contrary, not well-developed in such area, from which we can draw a conclusion that there are still a lot of area in our Wushu teaching in middle school and primary school need to be revised and improved.2)The attitude Yuncheng middle school and primary school students hold towards Wushu class are relatively good on the whole, with average value up to 3.5537, higher than the middle point, which is 3. Among them, the average value of cognition is 3.7510, and 3.4800 for emotion, 3.3563 for tendency. However, the notable differences between the constructive cognition and tendency shows that the general attitudes Yuncheng students hold towards Wushu class is unstable– they love Wushu, but the tendency towards the current Wushu class are not high.3) There is not remarkable gap in attitudes towards Wushu class between different age levels of Yuncheng students. However, among the junior and senior middle school students, the cognition level of Wushu class of are much higher than the tendency level, which also shows that the middle school students'attitude are unstable, and they tend to show less interests towards the Wushu class the school arranged.4) There is not remarkable difference in attitude and its constitution elements towards Wushu class between different genders. This consequence may results from the current content that Yuncheng middle school and primary school designed for the Wushu teaching which is relatively more suitable to girl's psychology, but, to some extent, does not meet the boy's requirements for learning Wushu.5)There is a notable difference in attitudes between the students who attend Wushu class and those who do not attend, and the gap between the cognition and tendency are also remarkable, which is revealed as that the students who do not attend Wushu class hold higher attitude than the students who attend Wushu class. It means there exits the problem that the students who attend Wushu class show less tendency towards Wushu learning.6) The factors affecting the students'attitude towards Wushu class are variable and complex. As far as Yuncheng city, the affective factors, in accordance with the influence degree, are: personal factor, social environments, teaching factors, school environments, family environments and so on.
