The thesis discusses and researches on the significance and the necessity of the establishment of assessment system of the scores of P.E. and fitness courses in college with the method of documentation, experimentation, logical demonstration, statistics and etc. The research aims at the establishment of assessment system of the scores of P.E. and fitness which advocates that health comes first and improve students'comprehensive development. It also analyses and comments on the system in the aspect of its guidance, theoretical basis, contents, forms, methods and etc.The result indicates that: (1) The new assessment system is good to improve the students'physical status, sports skills and enhance their knowledge about health, participation and specialty in sports; (2) The new assessment system helps to assess the students'comprehensive grades of P.E. and fitness courses in a scientific way.The new system embodies the guidance of"health comes first and improve students'comprehensive development"by the trial in the assessment system, the increase in the assessment of the participation in sports and the evocation in the students to learn by themselves. The new system is more suitable to the teaching guidance because it emphasizes more on the students'comprehensive development, strengthens the assessment in learning improvement and pays attention to the assessment of the learning process.To establish and analyze the new assessing system, the teachers should renew their thoughts toward education assessment, assess the students'with a wholly new developing view, teach the students according to their aptitude and show the equity of the assessment in the teaching. Furthermore, the teachers should emphasize on the research on the system, help the students with their overall development by perfecting the contents, process and methods. In such a way, a good foundation is made for the development of the students'lifelong thoughts of P.E. and the teaching effect is therefore improved.
