An Applicable Investigation Of The Method Of Determinging The Individual Zone Of Optimal Functioning Of Shooting Athletes Of Suzhou-a Probabilistic Estimation

The theory of Individual Zone of Optimal Functioning(IZOF) was suggested by Hanin in 1980s. We should cognize every IZOFs of the athlete accurately, which is the basis of psychology control. It is the key to achieving the optimal performance that each athlete's IZOF is determined correctly with the method of probabilistic estimation to provide available psychology control for the athletes and help him come into this zone.Shooting is a static and untouched type of sport with high accuracy. The shooting athletes would have the good performance within a good psychology state and optimal arousal. So with the IZOF, the coaches can know the athletes's arousal level before the competition, predict the probabilistic of optimal performance and control them with applicable strategies if necessary.The trait anxiety (TAI) and competition state anxiety inventory (CSAI-2) of the shooting athletes of Suzhou atre analyzed in this article to determine the IZOF of each shooting athlete. The result indicates that (1)the trait anxiety of the shooting athletes of Suzhou is moderate. (2)The score of CSAI-2 is coincidence with the norm of Chinese shooting athletes.(3)There is no item difference and sexual difference among the shooting athletes of Suzhou in the three factors of CSAI-2, where there is no significant difference and high correlation among these factors. The trait anxiety has positive correlation with cognition anxiety and somatic anxiety and negative correlation with self-confidence. The difference in competition state anxiety between the group with different trait anxiety levels is no significant. (4) The IZOF of each shooting athlete could be determined by the ordinal regression analysis to the score of CSAI-2 and his/her performance using the method of probabilisitc estimation.
