The Study Of The Current Situation And The Countermeasures Of Development Of Tennis In Anhui Province

Tennis has become a fad in China along with the rapid economical growth, and the promotion of people living standard, and the great achievements of the professional Chinese women tennis athletes and the successful sponsor of China Open and Shanghai Master Cup. Tennis that has the merits of health, relaxation and fashion is favored by people from cities, and therefore tennis is one of the popular sports in Anhui Province, exactly in Hefei, Wuhu, Tongling, Bengbu, Ma'anshan and Huainang. How to keep tennis development sustainable, healthy, and orderly in our province and how to narrow the gap of tennis development between Anhui Province and other cities are urgent tasks for us to solve.To serve the needs of study of tennis in Anhui colleges, professional field and amateur field, the samples are selected at random in proportion to the number of colleges, to the population of tennis fans and to the number of tennis teams in Hefei, Huaibei, Bozhou, Shuzhou, Bengbu, Fuyang, Huainang, Chuzhou, Luan, Ma'anshang, Chaohu, Wuhu, Xuancheng, Tongling, Chizhou, Anqing and Huangshang. The findings shows that tennis has been greatly developed in Anhui Province with the wide expansion of tennis population and tennis courts, but the number of tennis courts is not enough to satisfy the needs of increasing tennis population; that tennis in college is well developed, but generally tennis is still underdeveloped, especially amateur tennis; that tennis coaches are not sufficient and we done have a tennis research team, and our players attend few tennis matches; and that tennis development is not balanced in our province. Therefore, this paper offers some proposals: to expand the number of tennis courts; to train our tennis coaches speedily; to popularize tennis in our province by promoting professional tennis; to make tennis professional essential; to establish tennis association and sponsor some tennis matches; to train our tennis players more scientifically and to perfect tennis courses in colleges and to establish tennis clubs; to nurture tennis market, and expand tennis population; to form a research team to develop our level of tennis study; to widen the channels of funds to guarantee tennis profession. This paper applies theory to the actualities in Anhui Province, and provides the theories of developing tennis in Anhui Province, and offers a wonderful reference by substantial evidences to accelerate tennis development at a sustainable, healthy and orderly rate in Anhui province, even in China.
