The Research Of The Current Situation Of The Primary School English Teacher Team In Yanzhou

Primary school English teaching is a young subject. So it has a young teacher team. It is very important for children to learn English well as a basic subject and it is very important to have a good teacher team.Based on the interviews and questionnaires results from primary school English teachers of Yanzhou, this paper tends to analyze the factors including basic conditions, teaching and training experiences and living conditions, etc. It points out that the teacher team in Yanzhou is not so optimistic. The following may represent the problems: The quantity and the quality of the primary school teachers are not satisfying; No enough attention is paid to the primary school English teaching; Lack of equipments for English teaching; Lack of teacher trainings based on the requirements analysis and teaching practices; Teachers are not so clear with English class managements etc.Based on the investigations and interviews, this article analyses the advantage and disadvantages lying in the teacher team. And then put forward to correlate countermeasures, trying to improve the current situations. These following might be considered: Try to mobilize the enthusiasm of the young teachers; Strengthen the constructions of primary school English teaching; Pay more attentions to teachers trainings; Create the healthier teaching and research cultures; Lead teachers to know their new role in English teaching as in the new current situations; More concern should be given to the primary school English teachers to reduce the heavy burden for them.
