Virtual community was a forum which was organized by a group of computer users voluntarily for specific discussion themes at the first time. With the development of computer and network technology, the number of virtual community users increases geometrically and the discussion themes start to involve in all aspects of people's life. Thevirtual community has changed people's life and communication style. With it's unique manner. However, another kind of uncivilized phenomenon has spread silently. At the same time, it is verbal aggressive behavior of virtual community. We can read some vulgar frivolous everywhere in the virtual community, such as"fuck" "you must die" and "son of a gun". Then, which factors lead to this uncivilized phenomenon? Which type does this phenomenon include? How about the fierce level? Which type strategies have been used by the users? This study will answer these questions by these research methods such as content analysis, interview and investigation.This study followed the thought of" literature analysis, question presentation, collecting samples, establishing classification system, detection coding reliability, coding, statistics and finding coping strategies" Based on literature analysis, interviews, investigation, the study established categories for the reason for the aggressive behavior of virtual community. Reference to the present literature, classification criteria for the type to verbal aggressive behavior of virtual community has been established. The categories for the fierce level have been established also. Referenced to some related theory of interpersonal communication the conflict strategy categories have been established. In accordance with the categories established the 60 discussion themes collected have been coded. Conclusions come as following:1. In addition to objective factor of network, the reason for aggressive behavior of virtual community is participants' factor which includes viewpoint conflict, abreacting emotions, self-expression and retaliation psychology. The percentages for these four factors are 70.7 percent, 20.3percent, 6.5 percent and 2.5 percent.2. The fierce level of emotional tone for aggressive behavior of virtual community includes friendliness, neutrals, difference, hostility and abusive. Differences accounts for the largest percentage which is 40.2 percent. Followed by hostile and abusive, they are 21.15 percent and 16.6 percent. Friendliness and neutrals account for less prop oration, 11.8 percent and 10.3 percent.3. The type for verbal aggressive behavior of Virtual community includes "belittle, respect, threat, ridicule, curses and pet phrase". Belittle has the largest proportion which is 76.1 percent. The proportion of respect for the type is 2.3 percent. The proportion of threat is 9.2 percent; the proportion of Ridicule is 1.5 percent. The proportion of curse is 2.9 percent and the proportion of pet phrase is 3.2 percent.4. The conflict strategies for virtual community are integration strategy, avoid strategy and domination strategy, the percentage is 11.84 percent, 10.28 percent and 78.08 percent.
