Vocational education of Korea and China gained great accomplishment, also some problems after the progress of more than 50 years. Comparisons about the progress and Features of schools between Korea and China, summarize the experience from vocational education of Korea can be useful for developing Chinese characteristics vocational education. There's 3 parts in this article.The first part is The Processes of Development of China and South Korea's Vocational Education and the Comparison between Them. Vocational education in South Korea restored gradually after the civil war of Korea, and a great blooming after 1960s. Vocational education in China fully recovered and entered a new era after the period of Cultural Revolution. Vocational education shows a lot in comparison between Korea and China during these SO years. Setbacks and damages of vocational education happened in China, while in Korea the progress goes fairly smooth, the level of achievement shows a gap between these two countries, Korea had established a system of vocational education which perfectly working by the time of 1970s, as to China, the system had not been fully established until 1990s; vocational education was firmly related to economic progress, it contributed in speeding up economic development, and effect of disorientation happened in these two countries as well. One of the successful measures from Korea is to switch and fit the education system into economic progress swiftly.The second part is the comparison of training and management system in China and South Korea's Vocational Education. The training targets of China and South Korea are both training talents with skill ability. The curriculum includes cultural basis courses, professional basis courses, professional courses and practicing courses. The practicing courses account for more class hour in South Korea, and the conditions for practicing courses are better than China.The source of vocational teachers in South Korea is various. Vocational education in South Korea belongs to the Department of Education and Labor Resource on the whole. Chinese vocational education is scattered to be managed. The vocational school belongs to the educational department, technological school to labor department.The third part is the experiments from South Korea's development in vocational education. The Korean government increases financial investment for professional education, and improves students' treatment. The students who want to enter into vocational school can enjoy advantageous treatment. Through these ways, the proportion of the vocational high school students and the common high school students keep in 50:50. The South Korea prompts workshop paratactic in the vocational education, and make the co-operation of industry and learning to be an institution. Otherwise, the "2+1'curriculum institution is carried out in South Korea, and professional skill training is enhanced well. Pay attention to vocational education's legislation, using legal means to manage vocational education. Carry out the policies for development of vocational education, using the means of policy to promote vocational education. Ensure the diversification of system and financing for education.The fourth part is China's Strategies for Vocational Education Reform and Development. This part includes five points: Firstly, renew the concepts of vocational Education, enhance the awareness of vocational education. Secondly, reform and innovate the management system and founding system of vocational education. Thirdly, deepening the reform of teaching, construct double type teachers. Fourthly, carry forward the institution of vocational qualification certificate. Fifthly, improve and reform the vocational training.
