| The 15th men's FIBA World Championship ended. China went into the second round with a two wins– four losses record, and ultimately ranked the fifteenth. From this Championship, the attacking ability of Yao Ming who get 25.3 points and 9 rebounds per match showed that he has become the most dazzling player. China Basketball team's offense was overly depend on Yao Ming. When Yao Ming did not play well, China Basketball team also became passive. The team were the lack of other teammates'support, especially no other stability offensive scoring points. Compared to other Men's Basketball teams, the forwards of the China team have not do some outstanding contributions to the team. Some young forwards, such as Zhu Fangyu,Li Ke,Yi Jianlian and so on, were a lack of enough competition experience, not good psychological quality. All these factors hindered the China team to get better result. Therefore, improving the technical quality of forwards and strengthening the technical ability in the high-intensity confrontation of China team will be resolved.This paper studies the performance of the forwards of the China team in the 15th men's FIBA World Championship, through comparing to other foreign excellent forwards'offensive capability. Using video, mathematical statistics, and a comparative study are to obtain the results, to make some reference and recommendations for the forwards'following training and competitions.In this paper, the research methods are: files, video observations, interviews with experts, mathematical statistics. Some major findings are as follows:(1)The China Basketball forwards'body condition has certain advantages, still has some room to get better.(2)The China Basketball forwards can do a good shooting in the weak or non-confrontation, but scored by a single way, especially the weak ability of breakthrough.(3)Compared to the best forwards, the China Basketball forwards controlled the ball forward is still weak. (4)The ability of confrontation and the sense of confrontation of China Basketball forwards is weak.(5)The sense of fast-break of the China Basketball forwards is not strong.(6)The ability of rebound of the China Basketball is no less than the best foreign forwards, but the second offensive capability and the number of second-chance success rate are much less than those.(7) The China Basketball forwards mistakes on the second dribble,and always make faults in the form of error-catcher.(8)The China Basketball forwards use feint action unreasonably, particularly in a single feint. (9)The competition efficiency of the China Basketball forwards is weaker than the best foreign forwards.(10) The China Basketball forwards have little competition experience, instability psychological quality.Through comparative analysis, the underlying causes are: (1) individual skills, and basic skills are not good. It is an important factor. (2) the ability of confrontation is weak. (3)offensive tactics is not flexible. the conversion between offense and defense is slowly. Forwards do not have a strong sense of fast-attack.(4)no good guard. (5)forwards and other teammates do not have a long tome together.(6)the standard of our basketball league is low.Through those analysis, this paper gives the following recommendations: (1) increasing the number of shots, strengthening pointer capacity, confrontation skills. (2) improving the quality of the local basketball league, and introducing the high level of foreign players, and making sure that our players can have enough time.Let our players have more opportunities to go abroad for the high-level league. (3) the establishment of a foreign-based coach, supplemented by local coaches system.This paper is research on the attacking ability of the China Basketball forwards. For the China team in future will achieve better results, we must pay more attention to the cultivation of the China Basketball forwards, especially offensive capability.
