Research On Problems And Countermeasures Of Kindergarten Child-care Workers' Basic Qualities

Child care in kindergarten is a very important work which closely related with children growth and their body and mental healthy. In order to ensure the quality of child care work in kindergarten, the key is having high-qulified child-care workers. While, in current situation, the qualities of child-care workers can't catch up with the new requirement and task of the preschool education. Therefore, to analyse the problems of child-care workers' qualities in deep depth and discuss the reasons and strategies is very necessary .The study compiled questionaire of child-care workers' basic qualities, and surveyed the qualities of child-care workers in six kingdergardens. Combined with information from interview and observing, it analyzed the problems and reasons, then raised several suggestions for improving the qualities of child-care workers. From the information of survey data and interview, it shows that:1.Their basic qualities are poor: physical and mental qualities are poor; weak dedication; lower education background; lack of professional knowledge and skills; backward concept and poor ability qualities.2. The reasons for these problems:①the low requirement of child-care workers in related preschool education rules;②the unreasonable age structure;③the number of a class is big, and child-care workers have heavy works and pressure;④low social status and poor income;⑤lack of systematic training and formating of training;⑥child-care workers have the concept keeping phenomenon ;⑦pay less at ten si on to child-care research;⑧lack of reasonable incentive mechanism for rewards and penalties.With problems of child-workers' basic qualities and the reasons for this condition, the study raised several proposals:①rise requirement in rules of preschool education.②Have a strict system that child-care workers must have certificate.③decrease the numer of a class, increase the number of child-care workers, and have a fit rest time for child-care workers,④improve the status and income of child-care workers.⑤integrate teaching and nursing.⑥enhance training.⑦strengthen the competition and promote research,⑧make a reasonable system for rewards and penalties.
