Studies On The Relationship Between Academic Management And School Development In Vocational Schools

The academic management in vocational schools, compared with administration management, refers to the management of academic affairs and activities in teaching and academic researches. This paper begins with the survey on the literature review and the value of this study. With the ready reach methodology, the paper defines the academic researches, academic management and school development in vocational schools, and further studies their relationship.With the characteristics of sociality, vocational -orient, practicality and foundationalization, well-organized school management in vocational schools is helpful for academic researches in the perspectives of atmosphere, criteria and orientation. It is also helpful for the whole school management and teachers' self-improvement. The paper also points out the morbidity in current academic management system, such as poor function of academic management, lack of resources in academic management and poor atmosphere and methodology in academic researches. Reasons are from system, traditional attitudes, historical effects and teachers themselves. In the conclusion part, the writer calls for advanced concept of the academic management in vocational schools and the full use of its advantages.This paper is not tempted to cover all the facets of academic management in vocational schools. With relative theories and concrete examples, the paper illustrates the relationship between academic management and school development and the value, characteristics, morbidity, reasons for problems and suggestions of academic management. This paper has the theoretic base as well as the practical value.
